Photo shoot on a budget

Looking for ways to keep costs down before a shoot. Here’s a few ideas.

Nails

Many models like to get their nails done professionally at a nail bar before a new shoot. This can cost around £30 and up to £70 for nails and toes.

If you’re on a budget by some cheaper at home nail vanish, there’s good quality, shiny gel polishes for sale. Or alternatively buy fake stick-on nails.

Instead of paying £20 – £50 for a pedicure. Buy a punnet stone and give yourself a pedicure in bath!

Hair dye & wigs

Many models like to touch up their roots in the hair salon before a photoshoot. This can cost around £100 – £150. Instead, why not use a at home hair dye or use a root touch up spray which will be around £5 to £10.

Lingerie & nude

Although you should use brand new lingerie to get the best out of your shoot, the lingerie doesn’t have to cost £100s for the shoot. Shop around online and in store for lingerie sales and two for one offers. Alternatively try the online auction sites.

Alternatively nude looks great with towel, blanket, or men’s shirt.

Travelling & accommodation

If travelling for a shoot plan your journey in advance. Buy advance train tickets, split tickets to save or get stagecoach or mega bus.

If booking accommodation, pay in advance for best rate and have breakfast included.
